Daily social media usage in Denmark 2018, by gender and platform

The share of social network users in Denmark fluctuated over the past years, but increased overall. Ever since 2016, the share of participants in social networks was over 70 percent. As of 2018, there were nearly 80 percent of Danish social network users.
Worldwide figures
Twitter was the most popular social media platform among men worldwide, as of July 2019. Nearly 70 percent of men used Twitter. Women, however, seemed to prefer photo sharing platforms in the evaluated period. Over 60 percent of women used Snapchat and over 50 percent used Instagram.
